Description
One of the many beautiful natural arches in the Moab area, Corona Arch is one of the most popular sites outside of the National Parks. The Corona and Bowtie Arch trail begins along Highway 279, known as the Potash Road. Being at the end of a dog-friendly trail, I made a lot of new friends while I worked on this piece. Dogs would frequently come up to smell my canvas, followed closely by their apologetic owners. I never minded a little company though. I began working on this painting during several visits in the summer, but as the season changed so did the lighting. I finally finished painting it that winter in my studio. Thank you all for enjoying this arch with me.
