Painted 100% on location in "Plein air," this painting represents beautifully the red rock sandstone features of Arches National Park in Southeastern Utah. It took several days of continuous on sight painting. This painting has 4 arches in it: Double Arch South, Double Arch West, and Raven Arch (the little one on the far left). Though you cannot see the sky behind it, the fourth arch is called Narrow Arch, and it is in the span of the arch closest to the viewer.
Double Arch is my favorite place to go with my daughters, and my favorite arch to paint. My Family and I love this painting, and I hope you will too.
